Benchmarking

Comparative data, drawn from participating hospitals.

eBASIS has provided comparative data for BASIS-24®, PoC-IP/RP, and PoC-OP for participating hospitals since 1998. Data from participating organizations is merged to create “benchmarks” for each quality measure, against which individual organizations can compare their results.

How it works

Stratified benchmarks, no hospital identified.

eBASIS also stratifies the benchmark results based on patient and facility characteristics. Information about the participating hospitals, including nine facility characteristics, is grouped and provided for comparison in profile format only, ensuring no hospital is identified. Means, medians, and standard deviations are given for each domain.

Expected outcomes may vary across levels of care and symptom acuity. Therefore, when appropriate, eBASIS also analyzes data and provide performance comparison by level of care.

Tools benchmarked

BASIS-24®, PoC-IP/RP, and PoC-OP.

Comparative data is provided for the BASIS-24® adult symptom measure and both Perceptions of Care variants — inpatient/residential/partial and outpatient. Data from participating organizations is merged to create benchmarks for each quality measure, against which your organization can compare its own results.

Means, medians, and standard deviations are provided for each domain — and where appropriate, eBASIS analyzes performance by level of care so the comparison stays relevant to your setting.
