Four deliberate levels of service.

With eBASIS you can build a quality improvement program with the confidence needed in measurement results. eBASIS enables you to use the nationally recognized BASIS® surveys, and other reliable quality measures, including the Perceptions of Care survey and psychiatric core measure reporting capabilities, to build a comprehensive and meaningful outcomes measurement and quality improvement program.

Why measure

With eBASIS, you can…

Outcomes measurement isn't a checkbox — it is the foundation of clinical confidence. Here is what a mature program unlocks for your organization.

  • Evaluate program and clinical effectiveness from the patient perspective
  • See how your facility compares to other facilities
  • Improve feedback to clinicians and administrators
  • Strengthen patient and consumer relationships
  • Target areas of care for quality improvement efforts
  • Make decisions about program structure, staff training, and clinical care
  • Improve overall organizational and clinical effectiveness
  • Transmit core indicators to The Joint Commission and CMS
  • Deliver high-quality behavioral health care to the community you serve
The levels

Four tiers, one trajectory.

eBASIS structures its offerings into four progressive service levels — from a standalone survey license all the way to full regulatory reporting on your behalf. Start anywhere; step up as your program matures.

Level 01

Survey License

As the copyright holder of BASIS-24®, BASIS-Teen®, and BASIS-32®*, eBASIS offers an annual site license for psychiatric and mental health providers and organizations. The license provides a copy of the survey in English and Spanish for reproduction, plus an instruction guide containing the algorithm and scoring instructions so your team can score surveys independently.

The annual fee for an end-user site license is based on the number of locations at which the BASIS® surveys will be administered. All BASIS® users are required to sign a license agreement, which is made available to you during preregistration.

*Note: We are no longer offering survey licenses for BASIS-32®.

Level 02

WebScore Service

WebScore, the optional online scoring and reporting application, lets your staff enter data into a secure database. Organizations may also choose patient direct entry — patients enter responses themselves using a tablet PC or iPad. WebScore enables clients to view real-time reporting of assessments at the patient or aggregate level.

The WebScore annual fee is based on the estimated number of surveys to be entered for the year, and eBASIS will work with you to establish the best estimate. Level 02 is available for BASIS-24, BASIS-Teen, PoC-IP, and PoC-OP. Please contact eBASIS for pricing.

Level 03

Quarterly Reporting

In addition to WebScore, Quarterly Reports include comparison and control charts — allowing an organization to compare its results to the previous quarter, and to a national benchmark drawn from other organizations using the same tool.

Cost depends on the number of measures selected, the number of reports needed, and the method of data entry. Level 03 is available for BASIS-24, BASIS-Teen, PoC-IP/RP, and PoC-OP. Contact eBASIS for a quote tailored to your organization.

Level 04

Regulatory Reporting

Regulatory Reporting transmits your psychiatric core measure data to The Joint Commission (TJC) and/or the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on behalf of your organization. Level 04 is designed for inpatient psychiatric facilities that must meet federal and accreditation reporting requirements.

eBASIS supports the full TJC HBIPS measure set and the CMS IPFQR program. Contact eBASIS to discuss how regulatory reporting integrates with your existing quality program.
